Recently, Accelerated Investigating Science students participated in two enriching excursions. The first was to the Engadine Wetlands, where they collected data on water quality and marine health, despite navigating a challenging and very wet track. The students persevered, enjoying activities like dip netting, identifying marine species, and assessing the health of the waterways.
The second excursion took them to Bundeena for an immersive Indigenous Science experience. The day began with a welcome and smoking ceremony, followed by a traditional dance. Students engaged in various hands-on activities, including sampling bush tucker, examining cultural artifacts, and learning the art of boomerang throwing.
Throughout these excursions, students not only gained invaluable field experience but also had a great time exploring and learning in diverse environments.
