Community involvement
Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.
Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)
Our school has an active Parents & Citizens group incorporated with NSW P&C Federation. Any parent or community member is welcome to attend.
Meetings are held on Tuesday evenings in first 4 weeks and last 3 weeks of term. Meetings are held in the library meeting room, which is directly behind the bus-bay, opposite the intersection with Coolabah Place. Meetings may occur online if access to the school is not available.
Please be aware that only financial members of the CHS P&C can vote on matters at a meeting or stand for an Office Bearer position. However, any community members are welcome to attend by RSVP to the Secretary at chspandc@yahoo.com by the Friday before the meeting to receive meeting details.
To become a financial member, you can pay your annual membership fee at any meeting or by EFT. Email chspandc@yahoo.com for details. We will accept payment and add you to the membership register up until 2pm of the Friday before the next meeting.
At each meeting the school Principal will brief parents on the latest events and policy decisions which impact our students.
These meetings are a great forum to learn of initiatives, events and achievements which are important to your child's learning and well-being at school. This is also an opportunity to meet other parents and staff members who regularly address the meetings.
