In Week 2, Stage 5 Marine Studies engaged in a hands-on dissection of various fish as part of their exploration of fish biology. Each group had the opportunity to examine different species, including whiting, flatheads, and snapper, allowing them to compare anatomical differences. Students studied the external features, such as lateral lines, scales, and tail shapes, before carefully opening the fish to identify internal organs like the swim bladder and gills. We are proud of the excellent effort all the students demonstrated during their dissections!
