Plain English Speaking Competition

A huge congratulations to Simone in year 12 who is through to the State Finals of the Plain English Speaking Competition. Simone's original and engaging speech on 'Consent' saw her go through to the final 6 in the State. Well done Simone!

This competition is open to all high school students aged between 15 and 18 in NSW. The Finals are the top 6 students who are judged on their performance in presenting a prepared speech of 8 minutes on an entertaining and thought provoking topic of their choice, as well as a 4 minute impromptu speech. Simone's speech 'The Case Against Cats' about 'consent' was the judges favourite for its amount of audience reaction and engagement.
