Students Caring in the Community

Philanthropic Year 8 students Rachel and Liv have taken Sydney's homelessness problem into their own hands. Concerned by the social issue of homelessness, they decided actually to do something. Thus, their organisation, 'Give Them A Chance' was conceived.

The two social-minded friends have been raising funds by enlisting the help of other students. Rachel and Liv have distributed chocolate boxes for students to sell. They have also been receiving donations through their GoFundMe page.

All proceeds from 'Give Them A Chance' go towards making and distributing care packages for homeless people in Sydney. They'll be holding a Christmas bake stall outside Oatley Train Station on the 20th of December to raise much-needed funds so they can meet their deadline to make and distribute their care packages bin time for Christmas.

You can help out by visiting the 'Give Them A Chance' website, donating to the GoFundMe, or coming along to Oatley Train Station on December 20th and buying some delicious baked goods!
