This year, I was fortunate to mentor four teams in the disciplines, Social Sciences, Language Literature and Science Technology Maths and Engineering.
Beginning in Term 2, teams of students from year 7 to 10 worked together, developing communication skills and creativity through practice challenges. As friendships formed, Term 3 came along and teams worked tirelessly on their challenge, spending many lunchtimes and mornings to create an extraordinary solution. On Sunday 26 August, the long term and unseen spontaneous challenge solutions were presented to judges at St Scholastica's College. The Social Sciences Team were awarded first place at regionals and Honors in the state finals.
Congratulations to all the students who have been a part of Tournament of the Minds. Thank you Ms Walmsley for overseeing Tournament of Minds and to the parents who gave their time to support the students throughout the competition.
