Caringbah High sent a strong squad to compete at the 2018 Sydney East Athletics Carnival at Sylvania Athletic track on Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 August. Students competed in events across all disciplines and demonstrated a high level of speed, strength and fitness.
Students amongst all years put all their hard training into competition and achieved some fantastic results. Emma of year 10 not only gained gold in the Under 15’s 3000m walk, she was also named Age Champion for the Under 15 girls. Oli of year 11 gained gold in both the 1500m and 3000m event. In both events Oli broke the 17+ boys’ records.

Luke - 15 yr 100m Hurdles
Elena - 16 yr 800m, 16 yr 400m and 16 yr 400m Hurdles
Lauren - 16 yr 100m and 16 yr 100m Hurdles
Elena, Lauren, Kyla and Ellie - 16 yr 4 x 100m Relay
Bailey - 17 yr Shot Put and 17 yr Javelin
Oli - 17 yr 800m, 17 yr 1500m and 17+ yr 3000m
Joshua - 17 yr High Jump and 17 yr Triple Jump
Imogen - 17 yr 800 and 17 yr 1500m
William - 17+ Discus and 17+ Javelin
Keiley - 17+ Javelin
