Schools Spectacular is the biggest and best show around with over 5,000 talented NSW public school students performing in combined dance groups, choir, symphony orchestra or as featured artists at Qudos Bank Arena. Twelve Caringbah High dancers had the opportunity to participate in the show; Caitlin and Olivia (Year 7), Holly and Amalie (Year 8), Serena, Davina and Mia (Year 9), Lauren, Caitlin, Alex and Sarah (Year 10) and Chloe (Year 11). The theme this year was ‘The Greatest’ and we danced in the Elton John segment to ‘Tiny Dancer’ and ‘I’m Still Standing’ with many other high school groups. Throughout this term there has been a lot of preparation and intense rehearsals for the four big shows on the 23 and 24 November. Schools Spectacular was filmed and aired on Channel 7 on the 8 December.
It was amazing for all of us to perform in such a large production with so many other talented performers in a segment full of colour, glitter and positivity. Schools Spectacular is an incredible experience and a huge thanks goes to Mrs Northey and Michael Northey for giving us this opportunity, as well as giving up their own time to supervise and share this experience with us.
