Caringbah’s Open Girls' Soccer Team defeats Bathurst HS in the top 16 in NSW

The trek down to Bathurst for the game was memorable, especially with Caringbah High coming away with the win. Despite being pretty frozen because of the unfamiliar cold, we had a strong first half and unfortunately didn’t score, leaving the match scoreless at half time.

At the start of the second half we quickly scored, thanks to a one-on-one screamer from Kyla. We continued to dominate, but couldn’t find the back of the net again. With the end of the game nearing, Bathurst began to push forward to try to equalise the game, but they were unsuccessful due to the strong Caringbah defence. The game finished 1-0 to Caringbah, with us then progressing onto the top 8 in the state.
