The Port Hacking Zone Swimming carnival was held on Friday, 18 February 2022 at San Souci Pool. Due to the COVID pandemic the carnival was a competitor only carnival, as Caringbah sent a smaller than usual team, however this didn’t deter out students from trying their best in each event.
Caringbah High finished fifth this year behind eventual winners Cronulla High, Endeavour Sports second and with Port Hacking High coming in third and Woolooware fourth. Our school had many top performing swimmers on the day.
One student was awarded with Age Champion of the Zone in 2022, Max of year 10 was awarded 15 years boys. Considering how strong the Port Hacking Zone is this is a wonderful achievement!
Many thanks to the staff who supported the students at the carnival. Mrs Babington (team manager), Mr Thoms and Miss Bannon (timekeepers) and Mrs Wirth (mashalling). Their support and efforts are muchly appreciated
Next stop is the Sydney East carnival on Monday, 14 March at SOPAC. Good luck to all students in the individual events and the many relay teams who will be competing on the day.
