Community involvement and P&C
Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.
Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)
Our school has an active Parents & Citizens group incorporated with NSW P&C Federation. Any parent or community member is welcome to attend.
Caringbah High School is proud to have an active Parents & Citizens group which is incorporated with the NSW P&C Federation.
P&C Information
Meetings are held from 7:30-9pm on Tuesday evenings twice a term: in week 3 and week 8 and all parents and community members are welcome to attend. P&C meetings are either held in the library which is directly behind the bus-bay, opposite the intersection with Coolabah Place, or entirely online.
While everyone is welcome to attend, please be aware that only financial members of the CHS P&C can vote on matters at a meeting or stand for an Office Bearer position at the AGM. To become a financial member, you can pay your annual membership fee at any meeting or by EFT. Email chspandc@yahoo.com for details. We will accept payment and add you to the membership register up until 2pm of the Friday before the next meeting.
P&C Meeting Agendas
At each meeting the school Principal updates parents on the latest events and policy decisions which impact our students, we have guest speakers to discuss school initiatives, achievements and upcoming opportunities which are important to your child's learning and well-being at school. This is also an opportunity to meet other parents and staff members who regularly address the meetings.
Funding Support
While the P&C does not conduct any fundraising activity, Parent Contribution payments to the school are allocated through a highly effective grant program: teachers and school staff provide a simple 1 page grant application for any projects, school equipment or events that are not covered by the Education Department and the P&C Grant Subcommittee allocate these grants according to available budget and priorities. The P & C has provided funding for robotics, science equipment, well-being programs, sound and lighting, garden upgrades, student seating and more. The P&C has also contributed significant amounts to major school works including the basketball courts COLA and air-conditioning unit for the school hall.
Any enquiries can be made to the P&C via the email CHSPandC@yahoo.com.au and we look forward to seeing you at meetings.
