Cazbah is one of the best nights in the Caringbah musical calendar. This year was fantastic! Cazbah showcases the talent and enthusiasm of the students fostered by their ensemble directors and staff.
“Rock the Cazbah” begins the night in the outdoor arena with the Contemporary music program bands. We warmed up for the evening with a bit of dancing and a sausage sizzle and some great contemporary tunes.
To the sounds of a string quartet, the crowd moved into the hall, for an evening of musical talent, comedy by our very entertaining host - Ms De Lange and of course the infamous Cazbah awards.
The very high quality of performance on the night is a real credit to all involved. The commitment of the students is apparent as is the support and direction given by the ensemble directors and Caringbah music staff. A big thank you to Ms Klara Morrison directed the show.
Emma and Zoe, the 2019 music captains did a great job of naming and shaming the characters in the music program and it was a wonderful insight for the audience to share in what goes on “behind the scenes”. This was supplemented by the great video prepared by Mia and Abigail.
For the show to go on it takes a raft of people behind the scenes – the tech crew, the stage crew and the help of Marc Skully of studio 57 recording and Paul Staddon helping out with sound. Thank you!
Lastly, A huge thank you for all the volunteer hours given by the Music support group and in particular Mrs Liza Fox. Thank you also to all the helpers and people who donate raffle prizes. It couldn’t happen without you.
So with 2018 at an end, we look forward to what’s in store for us next year from the Caringbah music program! Happy Christmas to all!
